The Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation reached a major milestone in June with the opening of its 40thTreasure Chest Program at CDH Proton Center in Warrenville, IL. This Treasure Chest was established in honor of the children and teens requiring proton therapy. The CDH Proton Center program will enable children and teenagers undergoing cancer treatment to select a toy or gift certificate from a treasure chest.
The CDH Proton Center, A ProCure Center located in Warrenville, IL is the first in Illinois to offer proton therapy. Proton therapy is one of the most precise forms of radiation therapy available today. Proton therapy uses protons that can be precisely controlled so that most of the radiation ends up directly in the tumor.
